Resumo: A Mata Atlântica é um bioma brasileiro e está entre os mais importantes do mundo. Ela tem valor socioambiental para mais de 70 da população brasileira, que vive em seu domínio. Porém, a Mata Atlântica se encontra fortemente ameaçada. Atualmente está reduzida a cerca de 7 de seu território original. As discussões acerca deste tema se justificam em razão da necessidade de preservação deste bioma, que é berço de uma das maiores biodiversidades do planeta. Apesar das intervenções serem regulamentadas por lei, o desmatamento da Mata Atlântica continua atingindo níveis elevados, principalmente no estado de Minas Gerais, um dos estados que lideram o ranking de desmatamento deste bioma. Sendo assim, o objetivo geral do presente estudo foi analisar a intervenção humana na Mata Atlântica em diferentes estágios da vegetação no estado de Minas Gerais, considerando a Lei nº 11.42806. Abstract: The Atlantic Forest is a Brazilian biome and is among the most important in the world. It has socio-environmental value for more than 70 of the Brazilian population, who live in its domain. However, the Atlantic Forest is highly threatened. It is currently reduced to around 7 of its original territory. Discussions on this topic are justified due to the need to preserve this biome, which is home to one of the greatest biodiversity on the planet. Despite the interventions being regulated by law, deforestation of the Atlantic Forest continues to reach high levels, mainly in the state of Minas Gerais, one of the states that leads the ranking of deforestation in this biome.
